Nicolette

I've got that Friday feeling, and I thought this was the perfect blog to end the week.  The lovely Nicolette and her beautiful bump!

Blogger, tv presenter, photographer and crafter, she's a real inspiration.  Nic started her blog Archie & the Rug three years ago.  It's buzzing with posts on fashion, cooking & crafting.  A real go-to blog.  She's currently living in Paris with her partner Joe (returning to these West Yorkshire hills next year), and I've been really enjoying her posts with that amazing backdrop that can only be the French capital.  She's been chatting about her maternity on there over the past few months, so I was really excited when she booked me for her bump shoot on her latest visit back to the valley.  We started out at The Milk Bar, an American style 50's cafe bar in Hebden Bridge - love those baby blues and pinks.  Nic's sister India joined us for a couple of shots. Before heading to her house, we sheltered from the rain on the Hebden Bridge Picture House steps, the light there was perfect.

It was such a great couple of hours.  Christmas is going to be very merry as baby is due on Christmas Day! You can catch up with Nicolette's news and posts here.  All the best Nicolette & Joe, I can't wait to meet baby in the New Year! x

Eddie

What can I say about Eddie?!  Hearty chortles and cheeky grins.  Twirly feet and thoughtful looks.  Big hugs and those smiley eyes!  He's a special chap.  I met him, and his Mum and Dad, a few weeks ago for a summer shoot.  I'm documenting Eddie in my Life Through The Seasons package, so we'll soon be amongst those autumn colours for part 2 of our journey together...

Jemima

The Indian summer seems a long time ago now we are in the throes of autumn.  This is when I had the first shoot with Jemima.  It was the autumn session of my Seasons portrait package and we decided to photograph Jemima indoors.  The sun was streaming through the windows - magic light!  Mum Rebecca is a fantastic knitter and seems to be able to turn her expert hand to anything crafty.  We had chatted about incorporating this element into the shoot.  Rebecca's Mum had made a wonderful handstitched patchwork creation many years ago.  Jemima sat on it whilst playing with her collection of toys, including my favourite, a cat on wheels!  Here are a few images from this lovely shoot including brother Harry and Dad Simon.  Roll on the Christmas session.  I'm going to be photographing the children making goodies in the kitchen and decorating the Christmas tree!
